Pretty much.

Anyone here ever stayed in a YMCA? I did once, on my California trip my nephew and I stayed one night at the one in Edmonton. They charged me $11, and we got access to the pool the next day. Three week trip cost me $1000, including gas. I was 19.

I had heard of it, but never seen one, till after the song came out.

Closest we had where I grew up was a Boys Club which is now a Boys and Girls Club. That's where I saw my first video game, PONG! LOL

I was actually surprised when i read on wikipedia how YMCA is an actual organization and not jibberish word.
