Printer, anyone have a recommendation ...

I'm sick of dealing with the varying quality of local print shops. I need a printer that does a PERFECT job printing color corporate letterhead and of course the black body of the letter.

I'm using fine linen, off white paper from Crane & Co. Anyone have a recommendation? Low volume 5-10 per week max but they have to look perfect.

Thanks, Lee

I'm having luck with this one

That one looks pretty nice. Samsung makes good stuff in general.

Ive never had an issue with any of the hp colour laserjets. Not sure what the current model # is but I've used several in the 1500 line.

Brother always make decent printers

RummyBoy 09-12-2014 10:31 AM

HP is definitely the best - very positive results from their Laserjets anyway.

Have some kids and introduce them to crayons. :2 cents:

Hi Lee,
You mentioned "perfect" twice. I'm not sure you can get perfect from a $150 printer.
Maybe check to find a store that has printers set up to test. Office Depot maybe?

I don't know. I connect via USB. It doesn't sound normal though.

Go for an HP laserjet if you are heavy duty printing. Brothers are good like @gspotproductions said too. Ink Jets can seldom hande heavy duty printing. Regardless of which you get go for a laserjet, they are worth the extra money IMHO

This is for contacting prospective buyers/licensee by letter, if the copier costs 5 times that it's ok. The quality has to be high but the machine won't be used that much. I don't want to pay for durability instead of quality. (if that makes sense)

The "sales help" in retail stores are worthless.

Just buy one and worry about it when you need to replace it a few months when it mysteriously stops printing.

Printers are made to mechanically self destruct after a set period of time so you'll need to go back to the store and buy another.

not true , I use my ink Brother since 7 years and it still works

Xerox Solid Ink produces very high quality desktop printing. You can get a ColorQube for $600-$700

http://www.shop.xerox.com/shop/offic...colorqube-8570

Give them a call, they'll print out samples of your documents and mail them to you.

It's probably not true...it's more my way of saying they fucking suck, because I've had about 5 printers over the course of 10 years.
