:( I really should have taken up my mom's offer to pay for guitar lessons. But NOOOooo, I wanted to play HOCKEY.

Wait, you're saying Neil Young, Burton Cummings, Chad Allen, Terry Jacks, The Crash Test Dummies and the Watchmen are all behind me?

That's...awesome.

Then not Neil Young, he's 2nd. But that's because he's been in 3 significant bands.

'Peggers works. I've also heard 'Winnipegonians' a time or two.

Some people from NW Ontario (and probably Saskachewan) call us "Tobans". I liked it so much I've taken to referring to myself as a "damned Toban" when away on trips.

Once there was this kid who....................

"Chad Allen? Who the fuck is Chad Allen?"

A little history if I may.

In January of 1965, Quality released their single, a cover of the Johnny Kidd song "Shakin' All Over". As a promo stunt, Quality released promo copies of the single credited to "Guess Who?". This became the band's new name, although throughout 1965 they were being credited as "Chad Allan & the Expressions (Guess Who?)".

In 1971 Allan along with Randy Bachman formed Brave Belt. The band released two albums for Reprise Records. By 1972 the band started to play more of a progressively heavier rock sound, after the first two albums Allan left the band. Then Brave Belt morphed into Bachman–Turner Overdrive along with adding C. F. "Fred" Turner where they continued on successfully.

Founding member and catalyst for two major bands of that era, formed his own record label, was the host for several TV shows, plus a 40 year solo career that's still going on.

Rock legend just doesn't quite say it.
