Are there any charities that will take money from adult companies?
Anyone here ever successfully given money to a charity through their company?
|
Under one of my mainstream projects=yes
Think if ya donate under adult name most would reject unless adult name isn't obvious. I tend to keep adult/mainstream separate not only for that reason but helps with approval process to mainstream programs, affiliate programs, processing, etc... Handful of solid mainstream sites opens a lot of doors that my adult stuff wouldn't be able to. :2 cents: |
Well.. I don't know..
But if you plan to donate over 6 figures, we will open one tomorrow :) |
I recall a Big sum given to the Breast cancer group from an adult company being returned.
We do little donations to the smaller groups and they take them. |

Not to have at least a tiny presence in mainstream is just plain foolish. |
I can see it on conservative media already:
Adult companies funneling money to charities through mainstream shell companies; possibly doing the same to fund liberal agendas! Then they hit the charity aspect for all of two minutes while spending thirty more minutes discussing the possibilities of the later. |
For the last few years Paxum has been donating to Angels Giving Tree and Webmaster Toy Run as annual donation matches. Both charities are for a good cause, are registered non-profit, and both can provide a receipt for tax purposes (to US companies).
Being a Canadian company we don't get any of the tax relief afforded to US companies, but it feels good to donate to a worthwhile cause, to encourage contributions, and to help others contribute more per donation. It's such a shame that some charities show prejudice when accepting donations. :Oh crap |

you are basically asking if a charity is interested in promoting a porn label. 2 billion hits per day creates delusions of mainstream acceptance. That's 2 billion hypocrites a day surfing your porn site. :2 cents: |

yes, but legal name isn't entirely 'porn related'

Wounded Warriors will take it. At least they took the $10k from our 2012 charity drive.
There's also a pretty neat organization in vegas called The Cupcake Girls. They give cupcakes and help sex workers with all facets of life from education to domestic violence help. I'm actually getting ready to take a check over $3k to them next month. |

Back in October 2012, Pornhub offered a penny per 30 video views for Breast Cancer Research. However, halfway through the campaign - the charity which they had selected - "Susan G. Komen Foundation" - rejected their offer. However, undeterred by this Pornhub continued with their campaign. They then called upon any charity which would accept the donation. They managed to raise ~25k with the campaign and then went ahead and tripled with to $75,000, which they distributed among several charities. A few notable ones included the Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund and Cancer Sucks Inc. So to answer your question - Yes! Prejudice is rampant across charities when it comes to accepting donations from Adult companies, but then there are several who're more inclined towards their cause and have no problem or moral doubts againt accepting payments from adult companies. |
give to small animal rescue organizations:2 cents:

I give enough money to the US gov although they don't know how to administer it very well at all and spend most of it on bailing out failed banks (who you think would NOT need it and could actually administer money well - that being their business and all)...on and corrupt government officials (pretty much all of them)...so not much left for the poor orphan kids I am afraid.

It`s an interesting topic. Would these same companies who refuse contributions from sex based projects accept it from gambling/casino based companies?

we adopted 250 kids last year with a ton of help from the adult community. Big donations from companies like Paxum and Bitter Strawberry we are also a 501.c.3 so if you are in the US your donation is tax deductable and 100% of the donation goes to the kids unlike many large charities who have huge administrative costs. :thumbsup |
