Anyone else order always from Amazon.com? (SLY loves Juicys grundel)

Plus being in NY close to like 5 of their major distribution centers the shit gets here fucking next day usually..

I use Amazon as my primary constantly. I usually check there first before I buy anything to make sure their price is lower and it usually is. Two day max delivery for me in Miami, but they are building a distribution center nearby so that will probably shorten to one day. I hear Amazon wants to get to same day delivery. That would be a game changer.

I have not left my house since amazon prime came out.

Sly 10-26-2014 06:44 AM

I have been using it regularly for years. My grundle loves it.

slapass 10-26-2014 07:09 AM

The cost is crazy. Even if it the same price I save on sales tax.

I live in a rural location and always do the math to see if using amazon with prime is cheaper than gas. It usually is cheaper for me to order from amazon.

The Amazon grocery is unavailable here. However, I buy a lot of things from Amazon and am 88% satisfied. Time spent shopping for hard to find items is my primary motivation then price (especially on computer parts -- I save 40% to 70% on those!) Kindle Books are a big item for me as well as AWS data services.

I had to return a purchase and they don't charge you the return freight anymore -- drop the item tagged with a RMA label in the UPS box -- that is a lot better than the hassle it was before standing in line at the post office, etc.

If something arrives damaged or defective, or the wrong item shipped -- why the hell should you be liable for the cost of the return?

I pay use tax to my state for taxable online purchases -- why get audited over a few hundred in use tax not paid?

I it seems Amazon has a few customers, so yes.

Any of you have friends/relatives that work in one of Amazons work camp warehouses? I wouldn't order crap from them if it was free.

loreen 10-26-2014 11:56 AM

Maybe once or twice a year :)

Amazon is known for its deplorable warehouse work conditions and I don't condone them. Most of us experience a major disconnect between the products we buy and what it took to produce and deliver them. If we look at almost anything we recently have purchased, from food, clothing, tech items, etc., we can trace these things to equally bad if not worse labor conditions. It would be nearly impossible to purchase everything we eat or wear or use within ethical guidelines. It's a sad and exploitative world of profits over humanity.

Amazon is great!

Does it really matter?
One in three jobs will be taken by software or robots by 2025
http://www.computerworld.com/article...s-by-2025.html
They already have partially automated order picking in warehouses and the future of unskilled workers is bleak ...

it is the same in any warehouse.... Sure the work is demanding but the places Amazon puts these warehouses are in bumbblefuckwill usa , and it does brings jobs and even its demanding they still have jobs...

Rochard 10-26-2014 02:56 PM

I love Amazon really.... Anything I need shows up at my doorstep the very next day...

Yeah, amazon prime is great. Plus you also get amazon instant video with a prime subscription (kinda like netflix). Works great

PornDiscounts-V 10-26-2014 07:20 PM

The last two CPU's I bought on Amazon were fucked up.

One was a counterfeit that looked atrociously counterfeit. So fucking obvious. But they took it back. No questions asked.

The other was DOA. Again took it back no questions asked. Even paid for shipping it back.

Seeing lots of counterfeit shit there lately. Makes me wonder if I order something food wise will it be counterfeit too?

make sure u buy from "Sold by ama.com llc" and not the 3rd party people

aka123 10-27-2014 03:19 PM

Not really, Amazon.uk is better on this side of the ocean. Still they don't ship many products outside UK. I don't know why, can't be that hard to get the products to mainland.
