Which Design Do You Like Better?

I have a gambling simulator I built and I'm having the front page of the design made. Which one of the two designs do you like and what should I do to fix them to make them look better?

Do you like this design

http://imghosting.info/images/11785140888884111134.jpg

Or this design

http://i.imgur.com/P6B0DM9.jpg

Also what would you do to change each of them to make them look better?

mineistaken 11-12-2014 03:00 PM

first, lighter looks better for me :)

yuu.design 11-12-2014 03:01 PM

second one looks modern, first one looks more old school

dickventure 11-12-2014 03:04 PM

I vote second one.

TrashyGirl 11-12-2014 04:02 PM

I like the first one because it's clean and it indicates to me immediately that it's for online gambling. Good luck with your site :thumbsup

EddyTheDog 11-12-2014 04:21 PM

Second - I always prefer darker though...

seeandsee 11-12-2014 04:50 PM

I vote for second one

edgeprod 11-12-2014 05:00 PM

So, the play is to ask GFY, then go with the opposite, right? Just to confirm.

That might work if GFY ever agreed on anything...

rastan 11-12-2014 05:22 PM

I actually like the darker one - the CTAs are more clearly defined also

skrog 11-12-2014 05:24 PM

The 2nd one. :thumbsup

fuzebox 11-12-2014 05:25 PM

Do you have AB results after sending test traffic? I prefer which had the higher epc :winkwink:

HandballJim 11-12-2014 06:36 PM

Second one :thumbsup

Shhh, get out of here with an actual plan that has metric-based merit. This isn't the thread for such things. :winkwink:

Ain't nobody going to afford to have a flip turn TWO jpgs into tabled layouts with images for A/B testing!

Darkhorse 11-12-2014 07:23 PM

Both are good, but if I had a choice to make would be the second one.

I like the second one better

dave90210 11-13-2014 03:18 AM

I guess I have to pick the second one. I hate the header in the second one, any suggestions to make the header better?

dannypcash 11-13-2014 03:32 AM

second one :thumbsup

Abracadabra_nl 11-13-2014 06:20 AM

Definitely number two (the darker one)

CurrentlySober 11-13-2014 06:27 AM

i like number twos...

Cameltoepro 11-13-2014 09:49 AM

Second one

Tom-21SexturyCash 11-13-2014 10:30 AM

I would prefer the first one.

djroof 11-13-2014 10:37 AM

2nd for me...

Sid70 11-13-2014 10:39 AM

#1 :thumbsup

I agree - I like the second one best - it's softer and much nicer looking - the first does look old school - but it also looks more juvenile - to me.

They are both nice, I just prefer the more modern one myself.

Denny 11-13-2014 10:43 AM

Second one :winkwink:

freecartoonporn 11-13-2014 11:11 AM

one, looks clean ...

Sid70 11-13-2014 11:21 AM

#1 is clean, #1 is porn-ish.

I thought the opposite. First is flat which is pretty popular at the moment.

lonerunner 11-13-2014 02:10 PM

this one http://imghosting.info/images/11785140888884111134.jpg it looks much more to suit gambling website.

aka123 11-13-2014 02:15 PM

Second one, but not because of the colors. It implies better the "kiss my ass"-principle, or was it "keep it simple stupid"? Well, anyways.. the "bullet points" bring the essential stuff fast as well the other stuff is more clearer and more obvious. You know, you don't have to think "What the fuck is this site about?"

madko 11-13-2014 05:01 PM

First one is by far better, close to today design trends. Clean & Clear.

Regarding the second one ... it's a good design but i don't like the grey content that blends in the dark background, gradients on fonts and buttons ... 2009 style. dull - monotonous

Miguel T 11-13-2014 06:51 PM

My vote goes to #2

free6com 11-13-2014 07:02 PM

both look nice but I dig the second darker theme! only because i prefer darker colors :)

javbucks 11-13-2014 07:03 PM

yep, second one looks better

Imortyl Pussycat 11-13-2014 07:09 PM

i like the look of the first one best but i can tell the second one will convert better because the call to actions are so clear

o0o_Lizard_o0o 11-13-2014 10:31 PM

:pimp second :pimp

DAMNMAN 11-13-2014 11:31 PM

Second one, but make it greener

PornDiscounts-V 11-14-2014 02:28 AM

cut the lighter top and paste to the darker bottom

XMaster 11-14-2014 02:33 AM

like the green header of the first one - fit with gaming market.
But call to action is much better on second one.

marketingpanda 11-14-2014 01:15 PM

Both very nice designs. 2nd one for me!

PAR 11-14-2014 01:41 PM

Why not run an A|B test at the user level...
Select the one that has the highest eCPM...

Or go with the 3rd one

LouiseLloyd 11-14-2014 01:56 PM

Second looks more modern, better in terms of design.

First theme feels more fitting for gambling (well the header anyway).
