The 20-year-old man found dead amid nearby rioting in Ferguson, Mo. had a bullet in his head and accelerant poured on his body in an apparent attempt to light him on fire, police have revealed.

The new details into Deandre Joshua's mysterious death, being investigated as a homicide, follow his body's discovery Tuesday morning outside an apartment complex near where Michael Brown was shot and killed in August.

Joshua was found seated behind the wheel of his white Pontiac Grand Prix at 9 a.m. ? likely several hours after he was killed, said St. Louis County police.

"The victim sustained severe burns to his arm, fingers and both legs," they stated in a release which added that the fire set inside his vehicle likely ended up going out on its own.

Police said they are actively investigating the University City man's death and interviewing witnesses, including his family and a friend who was with him the evening before.

Dorian Johnson, who witnessed Brown?s shooting death by Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson, appeared to be among those grieving for Joshua in the immediate wake of his death.

In a Facebook page appearing to belong to the 22-year-old, Johnson expressed his heartbreak Tuesday for the loss of his "brother."

To make positive change, a community has to be proactive and make that change. Im guessing those "Stop Snitching" campaigns are the reason black people don't want to be cops.


Why don't you answer me why people from the black community are not police officers? Do you know why???? I happen to have ten long time friends LA County Sherifs buddies that are black who would say you don't know what your talking about. They tell me that being a cop isn't very popular in the black communities.


I have 2 cousins that are Latino LAPD Detectives,(Was with them all day for Thanksgiving) and 3 cousins that are Latino Texas Rangers. They care, and they dedicate their lives to law enforcement.


Life is about choices made and choices not made. You want to blame the rest of the world for people of ethnicity choosing not to be police officers? Why don't you go and sign up. You only need a high school diploma.


Sports is completely different and you know this. Why even make that comment?
