'Active shooter' reported at El Paso military hospital
 

EL PASO, Texas (AP) ? The Army is searching for a suspect after an "active shooter" was reported as a West Texas military hospital.

Fort Bliss spokesman Gil Telles (TEH'-yehs) says an "active shooter" has been confirmed at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso. Telles says he has no information on casualties or arrests. However, the entire hospital complex and its adjacent veterans' hospital have been placed on lockdown.

The incident was reported shortly before 4 p.m. Mountain Time Tuesday.

Not sure why this one is making National news, Maybe cause it is live?

I remember when I lived in NE El Paso, Some guy not far from that hospital started shooting at people randomly in his suburban area. Killed one kid on his bike. Made big local news, but not much beyond that. He was a soldier in Iraq, But he didn't see combat. Only trained people.
