Warnign: tits inside! - Need guidelines or formula for solo scenes or sets
 

Recently hired a new fulltime shooter.

The guy's experience is making music videos and he is very artistic, has an amazing eye and his GF is a tattoo model who's into piercings and BDSM and helps with his work rather than hinders so the potential is huge.

Unfortunately neither have any experience with porn and the stuff they came up with in week one was amazing quality but IMO a little too far over on the artsy side to really fap to and the production value is so high that it's limiting the quantity of output.

I need to give him some guidelines for solo girl sets and videos. Kind of like a formula for what quantity of each kind of shot to deliver, since he has no idea, and now that I am thinking about it, neither do I.

I am thinking something really anal retentive and nearly autistic like "produce this formula within 30% of the guidelines"

Pic sets:
100 total shots (so 70-130 would be acceptable)
10 dressed, (7-13)
30 in various stages of undress (etc.)
30 with visible breasts
30 with visible genitals
Among the above, 25% or more should have eye contact with the camera, 5 should have full spread pussy visible, 5 should be facial closeups, 10 should feature some degree or real or simulated/implied genital penetration (digital or toy) and 10 should be genital closeups.

How does that sound?

For Solo girl videos scenes:

Overall length try for an 18 minute scene, with 12 being the min and no real max but realistically I can't imagine a solo scene over 30 minutes. Certainly not that I would watch unless there was something hugely special about it.

Scene breakdown:
3 minute intro, preamble, my name is _____ and I'm so horny right now etc.
3 minutes generally seducing the camera, booty shake, striptease,
3 minutes light masturbation with fingers, playing with breasts, nipples, licking toy, etc.
5 minutes penetration with toy or fingers or both, including anal if the model is cool with it
3 minutes orgasm plus cooldown, saying goodbye, fading out whatever.

Please let me know if that sounds good, should be adjusted or if I am overthinking or unrealistic about any of it.

These are relatively inexperienced models who mainly do cams and the scenes and sets are for promotion of their camroom but will also be sold seperately on membership sites and fanclubs in partnership with the model.

Those "guidelines" seem pretty reasonable and are very similar to what I shoot for my clients. The only exception is that my solo videos are typically 10-12 minutes. Cam girls may be OK with longer solo scenes but the average model with little to no experience seems to struggle beyond 10 minutes. :2 cents:

Are you able to post some of the shit that they shot? Your formula/breakdown sounds about right. You may want to up the quantity of each so that you can pick and choose what it is you feel will work. Percentages seem spot on though.

Post some samples of the shit that they shot. A different spin from an alternative perspective may not be such a bad thing. :2 cents:

I agree with Aaron...a 25-30 minute solo video is way too long. I'd rather shoot two shorter scenes than that. A girl can only masturbate in one scene for so long before she herself is going to get bored...never mind the guy fapping.
10 - 12 minutes tops.

The photos 'path' you put is pretty much spot on, however. IMO.

What Aaron said about the videos - everything over 10-12 minutes can become boring

also leave some space for creativity, i have seen sets from 50 different girls and the only thing that changed was the girl - otherwise you could have put them over each other and they were exactly the same.

Right now the best of the batch is the 3 pics I already posted. Not sure how to get the video on here, it's great quality but looks like a 3 minute trailer for a longer movie.

There's a lot of cool but unnecessary lighting tricks and effects, the guy makes music videos and that's exactly what it looks like.

I asked him about it and he told me that's just the promo version, so he's preparing the "full" version now.

For some reason I got only 15 pics of each girl, all pretty close to what you see there but mostly with their eyes closed. Maybe he's going for a dead girl thing idk but that's why I specified eye contact.

I am feeling a general consensus about solo video length so I will shorten that to 8-12 minutes.

Looking at this guy's stuff I don't think it's going to be possible to stifle his creativity, and any guidelines I provide will likely be interpreted in the loosest possible sense.

I don't know how to get video on here, this stuff won't last 2 minutes on YouTube.

You're probably very right. You mentioned:

Why would you do that? There are clients I've shot for who have WAY stronger guidelines....Literally pages and pages of them. There is no 30%, it's all or nothing. Either you shoot to their specs or you don't get paid.

My unsolicited advice...Drop the shooter and hire somebody who knows what they are doing and will shoot how you tell them to shoot. The way you are doing this, you are paying for their learning curve and like you say, they probably will never deliver what you want. You're throwing away money. :2 cents:

Well the thing is I don't want to micromanage anyone. I appreciate the guy's creativity. I also appreciate the fact that I am paying him peanuts. It's all I can afford right now but I am really surprised he's willing to get out of bed for that amount, I wouldn't.

I am not a director, I don't do video production. My wife won't let me come within smelling distance of the girls so my part all has to be done from my desk.

There's a lot of things that are subjective in this particular project, for one thing the girls know what they are willing to do and they are pretty much the only ones who know. They are co-producers on this so they do get the final say in what does and doesn't get done, as most of you know that's pretty much always the case regardless of what the guidelines or agreement say.

It's not like we're gonna have thugs with guns enforcing the guidelines on set.

The other thing is the girls are doing this for free, since the content is to promote their camrooms and they are 50/50 partners on the solo sites/fanclubs that will be (hopefully) built using the content.

And truthfully I like his style, I am happy to support his art as long as he's supporting my business.

I just want to point him in the right direction and make sure there's enough material to fap to when it's all done, art is great but customers need to get a nut sooner or later, hopefully later.
