Police Say 'Road Rage' Victim Went Looking for Suspect Before Deadly Encounter
 

A woman fatally shot after an apparent "road rage" incident went looking for the suspect with her armed son, police said today, and was likely not followed home immediately after the road encounter as was previously thought.

Police now believe it was only after Tammy Meyers and her 22-year-old son went out and found the suspects Thursday that they were apparently followed home, said Lt. Ray Steiber, who is in charge of the homicide section at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

?There was a volley of rounds fired from that vehicle,? Steiber said, adding that the son then returned fire.

?All indications ... are that this unknown person had fired shots first,? Steiber said.

So, according to the article, she went with her son, who was armed, to hunt down the road rage guy, now shooter, found him and then lost him. He followed her to her house, armed with the intent to do great bodily harm. Regardless of reason, that is voluntary manslaughter or premeditated murder. A vehicular accident, even an assault or road range incident, is not justification for voluntary manslaughter or premeditated homicide.

What if he followed her to get her insurance info and just happened to be armed...?

Dude can say the mom's son fired first and he returned fire. Either way son should be proud he defended his mom and she died, instead of telling her to calm down and call cops when she got home after first incident.

I think you read it wrong. The person who had the road rage (mom or son) went to get the other person (mom or son) to bring with them to the lady and her daughter who pissed them off. They followed them home and started shooting at them outside of their house.

The womans (who was killed) son was inside came out and returned fire on the bad woman and her son.

I had to read it multiple times too because they are calling the victim a suspect in some instances.

You read it wrong. The mother and daughter arrived home safely after a verbal altercation. The mother, knowing her son had a gun and therefore felt invincible then proceeds to awake her son and the two leave the house in the car to go hunting for the other vehicle. They find the other car which at that point follows them home and a shootout ensued. Mother gets shot in the head. If they had no gun she would have stayed home the first time and would still be alive.
