Not to turn this into a gun debate, but the gun is only going to help her if she can get to it and use it fast enough. In the article attached to the donation page it says the guys bashed the door in and grabbed a guy then held him and gun and knife point. They went upstairs where one woman was sleeping and attacked her then down the hall where another woman was sleeping.

Now, if she heard the crash, woke up and got the gun she could use it to protect herself. If not, it is useless.

I'm not an anti-gun person by any means. My point in all of this is that guns often give people a false sense of security. A home alarm, some bright outside lights and a loud, decent sized dog are often going to do a hell of a lot more to protect you than a gun.

Such smart faces... In my country rape is one of the most despised crimes. The rapists here also being ass-raped, humiliated or even killed by their prison mates. Hope Cytherea has some fans among the prisoners in Vegas who would like to punish the animals.

P.S. I still wonder why rape is so common crime in the States... Nope, Sweden and Belgium are very different cases. They have a lot of immigrants from various poor 3rd-world Muslim countries. Those have been grown up in a very different culture. Here in Russia, most cases of rape are committed by immigrants from Central Asian countries and by Russian citizens from Caucasus. Those are mostly Muslim people who grown in poor religious villages where sex or even erotic was totally tabooed, so they consider any woman who didn't wear a hijab as a whore.

On the other hand, people of the same nationalities who grown in Russian society are very different. They are normal people just like all others (they don't rape and don't call woman a whore is she has a short skirt or sexy decollete). So I don't think this has any relation to a skin color or nationality. I don't think that African-American citizens from your example above were born and grown up outside the States somewhere in a poor radical religious village. They are as American as others. Thus I still don't understand why the the USA have such an awful rape rate there...

Fact is that in EVERY country darker faces are more prone to being a rapist. That is a FACT.

If you do not like Belgium as a country with fresh immigrants, and you do not agree with the graph I posted you can take any other country, for example Brasil. Darker faces are more often committing rapes than lighter there as well.

So denying the fact would be delusional.

As I said above, depends on a culture. Here where I live a skin color does not affect any rates. The only factor which affects is the society where people were grown. I know many black Russians (those who have black skin, but were born and grown here) - they are no different to white Russians. We learned in the same schools, we speak the same language, we share the same traditions, we eat the same food etc.. I don't see any difference. But if they came from another country or even from another region of Russia with different culture, it will be an absolutely different story. But anyways, black students from African Ghana (for example) are very meek here. Especially compared to the white-skinned guys from poor Northern Caucasian villages. Those could be very aggressive...

You'd see a lot higher numbers in many other countries if the reporting was as accurate as it is in USA.

Why the crime reports in the USA should be more accurate than anywhere else? Why when I read local criminal news, I hear about everything (robbery, murders, scam, racism, bribes, illegal casinos, brothels etc), but I hear almost nothing about rapes?

1st world women report rape more often than it actually happens. I am sure there are a lot of rapes that go unreported in the US, but there are also a lot of women who didn't get a call back and report rape out of spite.
