At social services office omfg
Here trying to get my dad some health insurance and out of about 70 people here there are 5 white people. So many losers sitting around with their nails done and hair did on their iPhones when they should be out freeking working. I see lots of able bodied people
makes me angry. |
Able bodied doesn't equal able minded (or willed).
|
I could never ever work in a place like this. It's awful
|
Chess later punkin? I already got beat a few times - dirty tricks on that board game!
|
Jesus now a lady is breastfeeding and not even attempting to cover up!!!
You guys have to be on this journey with me cause it's hard to endure |
I can really feel like I'm there if you post breastfeeding pics.

My GF helped a large institutional investor purchase a very large number of houses and then she helped them lease them. The company wanted to allow Section 8... which anyone who has leased properties know is a massive mistake.
I used to love going to that office with her when she had to submit packages with all the home info. Even the chairs were double wide and reinforced to accommodate all the 400 pound women. Just a crazy parade of ghetto fashion, hair weaves and extensions, fat rolls, 4 inch long painted fingernails and horrible, self entitled attitudes. |
"your father.." Sure

Is it chocolate milk?
Can't you sign him up for health insurance/medicaid online? Or are you there for the ambience ? |
L-pink I wanted to but this dude was driving me nuts repeating over and over again he needed to go to docs! His socks were cutting off his circulation and his feet were burning! I was just happy he didn't make me take him to hospital for it! So yes I couldn't wait for Monday morning to try and get it.
He does have insurance but no doctors in New Jersey take it and since he's herw with me now he needs it |

See if the Medicaid card covers emergency room visits because that's the only medical people he will see in less than a month. And they won't be happy to see him because it's not an emergency. |

Where's Mutt with his info on the Canadian health system about our long wait times?! |

I had to leave him there alone so I could go pick my daughter up and take her to the docs! I hope he's okay there alone. I am bringing my 17 year old back with me so she can see exactly why it's very important to work hard! Jesus Christ those people suck. And they said will be a few HOURS before they talk to him |
judge not, ....

Years ago in Phoenix my dentist was in a parking lot where they had a social service office and frankly it was rather scary. There would always be about fifty people standing around waiting on god only knows what, and it was obvious that they all looked unemployable.

On Saturday I was getting groceries and I was behind a chick with talons and a weave and 3 kids going crazy over the candy, like eating candy, not buying it, while she was checking out. She was on her phone the whole time, and I heard her say that her new weave cost her $900??? Then she paid for her stuff with EBT. wtf :error |

Nope. :2 cents: |

a nightmare... the best was one guy who slept in a coffin and spent all day in a chair that he also peed and shit in (maybe Currentlysober would have enjoyed it) and in germany it's almost impossible to cancel a rent contract as long as the rent is paid |

But even if they'd do okay, how do you think that would be perceived? A white woman walking up to black woman (or group of women) offering her a job? I think she would likely get offended, probably talk real loud, shake her head back and forth and then jump me with a few other lazy people. :2 cents: |

Sadly this is what America has become and IS becoming more and more as the bankers and lawyers (read politicians) have raped and pillaged the middle class pretty much into extinction at this point and the gap between those who have and those who have not, grows ever wider and wider. It is all quite by design I am afraid so there is really nothing that can stop it at this point. |

Depending on the real estate market, it might not be an issue... in a place like Seattle for example, where property values are inordinately high, renting a house/condo is also expensive and people will rent apartments vs leasing a house which would be costing 2-3 times more. I am in an area where in that category of home (say 1000-1500 sq ft) its cheaper to buy and rent a home than rent an apartment so the only people renting homes are either doing it temporarily (have temporary work here etc) or they just got out of jail or something or have some bizarre horror story. So buying and leasing a home here looks amazing on paper, where the rent will easily cover the mortgage/insurance and so on, but the type of people renting are those that will usually cost you $1000.00's once they move out, will make you chase them every month for rent, always have a story and so on. |

And after all that they said he makes too much in social security to get medicaid.
All he really had to do is go to some center for aging or something and get his health care switched to something here in NJ. Bunch of wasted time if they would have returned my one of my five phone calls they could have told me and I would never have had to go. @dyno, my daughter has like a permanent dirty look on her face and is an introvert - it was hell just walking through. Thank god as soon as we were getting there they just called my dad back only to immediately deny him Oy vey. |

Most of them were simple welfare leachers, job offer from "the man" would sound offensive. |

Either way, tomorrow he will get to the right spot, and hopefully get it sorted out. Now that he's living with me he will have extra money to get a better plan, and at least one that's here in the state of NJ. No it wasn't for me dummy. I work and I pay for my own health insurance. |

When I divorced my first husband at 22, I got assistance for 3 months. During that time I went to school, became a certified nurses assistant and enjoyed doing that for a few years. After the three months though, I wrote a letter thanking them, and removed myself from their system and never looked back. I think I used the system in the way it's meant to be used and the best way for it to be used. If I didn't have it to help me I don't know what I would have done. I was not however getting 900.00 hair-dos or getting my nails done, I drove a junk car. I know it's not right to judge, but I really just couldn't help it. There were so many people there that could be so much more than they are by sitting there falling into this lifestyle or not trying to get out of it. |
This I why I am working so hard. To get rich and not need help.
Of course, I need help getting rich....ironic. |
