Problems with purchase of CMS AdultWebMaker
 

Should have found this post before I made a purchase through official website. Long story short:
1. Payment ?1,599.00(madrigold theme for directory) made to AdultWebMaker owner. Invoice and receipts of payment available.
2. Login to CPanel given to owner on March 8th for conducting installation of this CMS
3. On March 10 I receive a notice from their employee that script is installed and login details for it.
4. After verifying the installation, major simple things were not working, like to register new account, login to new account and may more - which was reported to the support.
5. 6 days later(March 16th) IT guy, who was installing script, replied me:

"Sorry not replying to you, seems like there are some issues with the installation, so many of the things are not working properly.

Let me check everything over there.

Once I fixed it, I will update you
So need 1 or 2 days max to fix with the installation."
6. Since then no reply from IT guy.
7. Since March 9th no reply from the owner of the AdultWebMaker

I really like the CMS, and using my developers would be more expensive to do everything is done there and I would really want to be able to use this CMS, but I have a feeling that I`m being scammed.

I will update here if there will be any progress about this issue, as well if there will not be any progress.

There was no replies since 2015. Found it by google'ing AdultWebMaker.

This thread will be either a good review, if the owner will deliver whats promised, or a warning to anyone who considers purchasing a script from AdultWebMaker.com

Asked them few questions on the email awhile ago, got only one answer back and its almoust two months since they stop responding back. What i like most to their CMS is the the design, which is top notch. But being serious is at the bottom.

Owner got in contact with me, and his programmer followed up and reinstalled stable version of the script. There are still some few bugs that we are working on, and I think we will be able to fix it with no problem.

Now about the script. This is probably the best escort directory script that is available in public. You can see, the whole CMS, database structure, all available features that it has, was developed by someone who really knows the industry and it didn't take few months to develop it. I have developed similar script and for me to make a complete nice version, it took 5 years. You really need to be familiar with the industry. Every tool and feature this directory has is very well thought through. Thumbs up to the developer!

Design is great. Very easy, clear and page load is fast. No complains at all(I usually complain, when something is not right)

I will post a little later some update, after project will be up and running.

Your sites have been down all weekend, & even today, although I would think that a company would be on top of when their sites go down for more than 30-60 minutes.

I've also e-mailed twice, although that's probably down too.

Yesterday my client was unable to see any templates or demos, & after reading what happened with your other client Eliton & twice now (this is the 2nd time) me having issues gaining access to your site, I'm going to have to rethink whether my client should purchase from you.

Update - their sites are STILL down.

I even added Robert on Skype & even told him the sites have been down all weekend & of course even today & they are in the UK, so it's already the end of business in the UK.

Right away he gives me the 3rd degree about WHO I am. I tell him my name & say I've been e-mailing with you guys for a week now.

Instead of him addressing the sites being down, AGAIN, he gives me the 3rd degree asking me WHAT e-mail address which I would have gladly given him had he actually seemed to care about what was going on & addressed WHY their sites are down.

So I asked him why he seems to care more about who I am than that your sites are down.

LOL, what does he do? He ignores me & either logs off or blocks me.

Well he just lost a client & I'm glad this happened now before my client spent close to $1k USD on a CMS that hasn't had an upgrade in 4 years.

Wow, so he (Robert Warren) writes me back on Skype & says the following:

"because I do not know you.. and if you're interested in getting our site up and running.. are you speaking of billing? or traffic?

we are focusing our attention right now on brick stores and temporarily pausing our website and your skype information states merchant accounts that are high risk. we already have someone who is handling merchant accounts Lane."

1. First I can barely understand what he's saying b/c his sentences are disjointed.

2. If (I) am interested in getting their site up & running? Why would I care about their site being up & running EXCEPT I wasted a WHOLE 10 days researching their CMS for my client, I wrote to them 10 times from Sept. 10th to the 25th & you'd have be a complete moron NOT to see that based on my questions, there was a HIGH probability that my client was going to purchase.

3. Why does a person have to be grilled when they tell you that your site is down & wondering what in the WORLD is going on?

If ANYONE contacted me anywhere & said my site was down, my reaction would be...

OMG, that's terrible, I'm so sorry, let me look into it & I'll let you know when it's back up & running.

4. Instead of addressing my HUGE concerns about why their sites were down, he just went off in assuming things that weren't even close to being true.

a) that I need billing (ok, then if he thought that, why didn't he act like he was trying to help?)
b) that I am contacting him re: traffic

My Skype handle does NOT talk about merchant accounts. I didn't ask him one thing about merchant accounts. I was JUST trying to get to the bottom of WHY their sites were down STILL after the weekend & all of Monday & WHY they didn't seem to give a shit.

I have many different Skype handles & the one I used with him was the SAME company name that I e-mailed them with. Had they just used common sense & looked that up plus my name which I gave him, I believe it would have been obvious that I was a potential client.

Then what does he do after he writes the above?

LOL, doesn't even allow me to respond, he just BLOCKS ME.

I'm writing this only so you know what kind of people they are.

Who closes down a myriad of sites (they have more than one) when they are in the middle of closing a deal with a potential client?

My client was ready to purchase after our meeting yesterday.

They also ignored my last 2 e-mails.

I'm actually thankful. Can you imagine if my client purchased their CMS & then they ran away with the money? I would have been devastated. :(

This is a such shame for such profesional script. I guess the only solution is to hire a developer and build a new script.
