Why can't web site do this simple thing?
 

If you move or delete a page on a site, redirect the traffic in .htaccess - especially on log in pages!

So fucking simple.

Why must I end up at a page that says "this page can not be found" if you change your login page to a new name.

.htaccess CAN do that...

thats why i like GWT, they fucking tell me 100 times, that my specific page cant be found if i mess something up.

Of course it can, many web masters don't bother.

Why anyone would want to lose targeted bookmarked or indexed traffic is beyond me. How simple is it if you delete or rename a page to change the .htaccess at the same time?
