What's working these days?
 

Hey GFYers,

I once ran a series of woefully unsuccessful TGP and text-link gallery sites. At most I made $700 over the course of a year. Most of that was from a femdom text-link site.

Eventually, my server was hacked, I lost all my sites, and I just didn't give a shit. This was 2007-ish.

Since then, I've done a bunch of other shit that doesn't really matter. Right now, I have a decent career going as a freelance writer. Nothing in the adult world, just content marketing for a few companies.

I'm thinking of getting back in the adult game.

So, let me ask the GFY world at large, what's working these days? What's converting and paying out? I don't mind putting in the work to build something that'll pay residuals.

I'm not asking for the keys to the kingdom, just to be pointed in the right direction.

Leaving adult and getting a real job has worked the best lately.

The key is to do it ASAP.

2007 was the easy days as compared to now. Don't even bother with promoting paysites as an affiliate. It's probably 10 times as hard now. Cams and Dating but it's not easy by any means. Definitely not starting from zero. If I were you I'd work a couple hours this month on cams and dating to get a feel for where things are at. Use your real time trying to get a foothold in mainstream as you are doing.

The real money these days as a little guy in adult is probably just in selling the shovels to those still with stars in their eyes.
