Spent 4 days. Nice weather, lots to see and eat, superb for a weekend get away - a swimming pool on the river bank is awesome :))) I lived near St Georges - tall old building, 5th fucking floor no elevator - old school stairway !

Not too bad

Pretty much impressed with the public transport system, variety of ticket offers. Metro, buses and trams, including Airport express are very clean. Easy to get by without a cab.
It's a heaven for those who prefer walking the streets.

Lyon is an EasyJest destination, so was fairly cheap - they say it's a 2nd large city in France and also a food capital. I'm a simple guy and I have found what I was looking for - spectacular city views, narrow streets, sunny weather, good and affordable food - I'd take a bike tour if I had more time.

That looks amazing. We went to Paris/ Disney Paris is interesting to see but would not want to live there. Trains were a disaster compared to Spain and other places.

Lots of dirty people on the trains we were on and was not pleased about that but nothing could be done. Did see some amazing country side though as we went. Disney was wonderful and the little town of Val De Europe was really nice, clean and safe.

Plan to get into more of Southern France next time and a few other countries.

Spent a week in Paris, and another week traveling around the rest of France and loved it. Everyone I met was friendly, and for the most part clean. I got a whiff of a couple of people, but it was around July so I think you will find that in any major city in the summer time.

I was in a bar one evening and was offered a blowjob. I told the guy I wasn't interested.

I thought the number of statues of George Washington was rather interesting.

It was about midnight, all the people wearing white clothes were eating and drinking . . . then they gathered up, took the folding chairs and tables and went home.

What was that? Some sort of a religious dinner? May be a wedding? I didn't happen to find out.

Do you speak French? If not was communication fairly easy? Want to get me and the wife over there so any info would be helpful.

I don't. Made one pub owner smile asking HOW MUCH IS THAT in French - seriously, figured that phrase only. On a basic level in a tourist area i did NOT have any problem with English ( I was there with wife and kids ).

Might be that white dinner thing that is popular around Europe. The point is to bring your own stuff and eat together. Something like that.

Thanks, indeed it was very clean. There are pedestrian areas with pubs and stuff, it gets nastier a little, but next morning it gets cleaned by special machines - one fucker woke me up at 7 actually LOL.

Rhone Express, Metro, Trams and Trolleys in Lyon in particular are fucking CLEAN.
