We are 6 months away still from the first of the primaries. Even if he makes it deep into the primaries or actually wins the nomination, he will be a disaster of a candidate. Look at how bad Romney got it when he was caught one time saying something not very nice about those who pay little or no taxes. You don't get to where Trump is today without having made enemies and without saying things that can come back to haunt you.
Add in the fact that he is not a guy who likes to repeat himself or answer for things he has done. I think he will eventually get annoyed at the press asking him the same thing every day and he will come off as a blowhard reality host in the debates and that will ultimately cost him.
Right now is the easy time. He can say anything he wants and looks great because nobody is asking him the hard questions. Let's see how he does when those times come.
