Chrome blocks flash ads now and this is how it looks
I have installed last beta of chrome and I can see now all flash content paused. This is how it looks for instance on GFY :

What version are you running? I'm still seeing flash promos playing without issue on GFY...Just upgraded to 43.0.2357.132. I just got that same Sextronic ad and it animated without me having to do anything.

Why would google who's business is basically all ads ever in their wildest dreams block flash and thus block a form advertising? That makes 0 sense. Again i may be wrong. but i think you're TRIPPING! |
download beta here https://www.google.fr/chrome/browser/beta.html and see by yourself :)

Thanks for those links, Xmaster!
I'm not running the beta but I see that setting is forthcoming. Are you on a laptop? I'd be interested to know if this setting is only enabled on lappy's or if all desktops will be impacted. The Chrome blog specifically mentions it as a "power improvement" but that's more or less irrelevant on a traditional desktop. |
