On-duty police officer shot in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS -- A St. Louis police officer was shot in the Central West End near Coffee Cartel Tuesday morning.
Police say the shooting happened near the intersection of Maryland Plaza and Euclid just before 5 a.m. Tuesday.
The 39-year-old sergeant was sitting in his personal car in full uniform when he noticed three people walking down the street. Later the sergeant saw the three men join another person in a newer model silver Ford Focus or Taurus.
