48 hours

you guys ever watch 48 hours? the murder show? watching episodes on netflix.. right now the episode is set in an 'urban' area and both the cops and murders suspects are all speaking fucking ebonics.... way the fuck out there..

I'm wondering do these cops have any education? they get the gig because they are 'urban'? never heard professionals speaking ebonics before.. totally weird :(

the interviews are like church confessions too...

When I still had cable, that was one of my favorite shows. The one thing it taught if nothing else, is never talk to the cops with out a lawyer if you kill someone..

No shit huh...innocent or not, do not even open your mouth unless it's to say "I WANT MY LAWYER".

Yea, it's really amazing how many of these cases the accused could of potentially gotten away with it had they not opened their mouth in the interview room. They get a suprising amount of convictions with cirimstanal evidence, which with out the confession likely would of been thrown out..

The last I heard somewhere between 25-30% of all cops have bachelors degrees.

That said, a lot of cops will talk like the people they are interviewing in an effort to create a level of comfort with them.

The First 48 is a very good show. And as Crockett says, never ever speak to the cops. Innocent or not. Get the lawyer and go from there.

The first 48 is a good show also after the first 48 when they do re-caps of the show etc.
