It was huge. Both in length and fatness. To give you an idea of the scale of it, If I had put it on my mac wireless keyboard it would have covered it!

Off to get another 2 big ones and 18 shumbumkins later. Going fish mad today!

I think that after having a nice big pond, with a fountain, plants and proper oxygenating levels, it did seem a bit daft that I only had 2 fish in it :)

Yeah, been like that for over a year, and perfectly happy. If it were bloat, my understanding is that it would have been dead a long time ago. His companion however has and still is perfectly healthy...

We will have to see what happens with the new ones I suppose. I mean terrible if it IS something in the water, and the 20 or so new ones all die, but if that happens, it happens...

I dont see much point in a large well cared for pond with all the trimmings just having one single fish in it :)

Yes I don't think they last more than a week or so if it's bloat. I had a beta fish that died of it :( I wasn't maybe changing out the water as often as I should have.

Well in order to get 'closure' on the loss of my pal, I built a commemorative statue of him to help me remember him...

Unfortunately, it was to big to fit in the toilet, (Where I had flushed Fatty-Fuck-Fish away) so I had to put it outside instead...

Then it hit me - Because he went down the toilet, I know for sure that he is now in a 'better place' and as such will be making amendments to my will, decreeing that my ashes should also be flushed down the toilet... Then I can rest forever in true happiness in my own personal heaven :)
