So who believes that MetArt just let this go....

"MetArt is a longtime business partner of MindGeek and we are pleased that the claim has been withdrawn without having to resort to the court system, nor making any payment to MetArt," Catherine Dunn, vice president, global communications for MindGeek, said in a statement. "With this behind us, we look forward to continuing to work with Metart and grow our partnership to new highs."

fitzmulti 09-30-2015 12:45 PM

Isn't that special...

Didn't people pay into some sort of legal fund for this?..

Or did I imagine it?....

geedub 09-30-2015 02:30 PM

Ask TopBucks how the lawsuit business model went for them.. Oh wait.

Is this the thread that perhaps made you "think" there was a legal fund:

That was probably it - I never actually read it, but the title must have stuck with me...

The Porn Nerd 09-30-2015 04:00 PM

Settlement doesn't have to mean $. Let's see if Met-Art videos suddenly, magically appear on every Mind Geek tube homepage now...

j3rkules 09-30-2015 04:01 PM

I saw it coming...

pornlaw 09-30-2015 04:04 PM

And just because the videos do magically appear doesn't mean money wasn't paid...

Whatever statement is made publicly about the end of litigation is also part of the settlement process and is negotiated for.

j3rkules 09-30-2015 04:30 PM

Sounds to me like they made some kind of a deal.... They might not have agreed on a financial settlement, but they will make payments going forward or something like that....

Wow, is that why Met was able to have a white label on CCBill that affiliates at least theoretically could get paid for promoting? Or is this new?

XMaster 10-01-2015 12:09 AM

MetArt : We sue your ass

MindGeek : Ok,it's gonna cost you thousands of dollars in court, years of trial plus we will not push any of your content, ever.

MetARt : Just kidding, give five bro.

Thanks PornHub. Thanks Met-Art. Thanks Obama.
