Damn, that was one hell of a fun coaster. Ridden it many times.

whew, the article states the coaster is being refurbished. those pieces of track are being replaced and the ride is slated to reopen this summer.

i've had this coaster on my must ride list for quite a while and have yet to ride it. florida is a swamp of a shithole and i'd prefer to never go back there.

Did a photo shoot on it one day before the park opened. Rode it 27 times straight and over 50 total that day.

I was sad to read that it had been taken down. But dyna is right. It's being refurbished and should be ready for next summer. It's too bad - I was thinking about taking a short trip to Florida this fall and was planning to visit Universal and ride Hulk Coaster.

For those who have never tried it, it's really cool for a lot of reasons. First, the queue was amazing. It looked like a mad scientists lab on steroids with lots of great sound and lots of videos showing the Hulk Origin, and a great soundtrack too.

The ride itself STARTS by going super-fast, straight up, and does so in an unexpected way. A lot of people preferred to be in front of the ride but I preferred riding it from the last car instead as it made the upward acceleration feel even more fun. The sound effects, lighting and countdown to launch really added a good scare to the ride too.

Once going, you did a really wild inverted loop, fall below ground, through water, and all kinds of other cool things. Like all coaster rides, it was too short, but it was crazy scary and crazy fun.

Here's hoping Hulk 2.0 will be twice as much fun!

I'm still pissed at Universal for removing Back to the Future: The Ride, and replacing it with The Simpsons. The Simpsons is a great ride too, but I *LOVED BTTF: The Ride. Still sad its gone.

One of the only big rides I got to go on before the lighting shutdown the whole park. Great roller coaster.

Hulk was my fav ride, I remember riding it 9 times in a row one day during the parks quiet times, I came off, walked round and straight back on. Had a Pepsi after the 7th time and could only manage two more after it lol.

Hopefully they rebuild it bigger and better. I was just talking to friends about this last weekend as well.

Definitely one of the best roller coasters of all time. Not the biggest or the most extreme at all, but I think one of the best designed, with great features like the starting acceleration and the dive through the ground.

Hulk is dead.
