For a second I honestly had to check this wasn't some kind of satirical article.

My first thought was honestly that someone had played some kind of practical joke

I am surprised more people aren't talking about it...

Generally, the people who most sympathize with pensioners are other pensioners. They don't have that much of a following outside the pension community. Also, they don't tend to stage demonstrations or cause riots or overthrow governments.

That's why they're such an easy target.

The fact that pensioners are getting screwed again isn't really the story - It's what is said...
