As much as I love muscle cars.... I must admit I like the Tesla.

I am pretty confident my Jeep will be my last gas powered car.

Yeah but think of how much electricity the Tesla used for that race:-)

Dodge Charger Hellcat - chick magnet.

Tesla - not so much.

Electric motor is the epitome of braun. There's nothing fancy really about the brains in the tesla. Electric motor, hit the go button and hold on, pure torque. Minus the wonderful sounds of ICE.

So what, as if better electric acceleration is news.

A lot of electricity for sure, but not nearly as much energy as the Dodge did.



..but is it really a chick magnet? We all drive muscle cars at one time or another, or at least dream of driving them, but doesn't muscle cars really just attract dudes?



What I mean is efficiency and technology over brute force. As for the sound of ICE, Meh - I get it, but give me sounds of The Jetsons over sounds of combustion any day.

you're assuming the propulsion system on the Jetson's car is electric. besides, the coolest part of the Jetson car is it folds up into a briefcase.

The hellcat msrp is like what, $70k and the tesla is $120k?

Also people have posted 10.8 in the Hellcat with drag radials. So for the price of a set of back tires you can still go faster than the Tesla and save yourself $49000. (enough to buy a Chevy Volt for the wife and a bunch of Tesla Powerwalls)
