Is it just me or does commission Junction suck?
Anyone have any good alternatives?

Affiliate future is like CJ but slightly better. |
CJ used to be an amazing program up until about two years ago. One day, I received a new terms and conditions email, I log in and all the programs I was a member had dropped me. They switched to "manually approving all advertisers" - even though I had sent thousands of visits to their site in the past. A lot of advertisers I had used for years, now wouldn't approve me. I started pulling links...had to. Now it's almost impossible to get approved. You find something you want to push, click to join, and then you're waiting months to get approved, and that's if you're even approved.
The shitty part? There really isn't an alternative I can think of that matches what CJ does. There's Clickbank, but their service offers are very niche. |
The problem is to find sites that convert, there's so much trash there. The sames goes with LinkConnector.com and ShareASale.com .
ClickBank is the most useless shit I've ever sent traffic to. |
The affiliate model just isn't the same any more
|
they are are good for my sites

It's amazing. It has the best selection of advertisers yet it still sucks donkey balls. I'd rather send traffic to an Adsense arbitrage page than work with them.
|
It also gone down hill on the merchant end too. We dropped it. Most all orders are fraudulent from affiliates, for web hosting anyway.

I don't really know what happened but they did take a beating. You might still want to check these ones for alternatives (in the US): Connect and grow with Tradedoubler performance marketing Webgains | Performance marketing specialists :thumbsup |
I did sell a $6000 couch for Thrive once, but their program went away, just like every other one that I used to make decent money with minus Ugg Australia which is still doing great, but low commission.. :/

Bit too late sports. By the time you get them adds up traffic is gone.
I had one site, cant remember what or who it was for. I got it up early and CNN picked it. Next thing I know my webhost went boom. :disgust:1orglaugh |

Looks like the I rectory phase has died off a bit...
I normally just use them as a way to find advertising programs directly. |
I've made PPC money with Adsense for about 11 years now, few others I've made sales with...
CJ (very strong on advertisers, just don't let your account go dormant under payment threshold or they will close it and snatch your dough so run it till ya break payout minimum, added a feature where you can create your own ad spot in the market and advertisers can buy at a set price which is kinda cool even though I haven't tried that yet) LinkShare (not as strong on advertisers even though older, do like that you can add a bunch of advertisers and insert one code and all your ads automatically rotate through the spot to keep it fresh) ShareASale (not as strong on advertisers as well, have made significant sales) Used Ebay and Amazon back when the mini site craze was going on and made some dough, don't currently use them though. Mainly just using Adsense, CJ and direct buys at the moment to fill my advertising spots. |
