Quick question, what is a good video download protector?
 

I have a customer trying to protect his videos from being downloaded.

Any scripts or tips on how to do this?

How about something like a pocket protector that nerds use to stop their pens from leaking, but bigger so that it fits a VHS cassette?

flash downloaders are trivial to install and use, but encrypted rtmp streams seem to be pretty difficult, you'd have to do a screengrab and that's not very easy at all.

I am sure the downside is it complicates mobile delivery and can make it fairly annoying to paying users.

That's what I told him, there was a company like ten years ago trying to figure this out. But you had to download something to your computer to do it.

Other than, this is the internet, another thought, gyazo... anything can record what's being played so no point spending out on programs to stop recording personally :2 cents:

I can grab videos with Snagit. Render them into WebM files and keep your fingers crossed.
