Tendonitis in my forearms from heavy deadlifts. I was in and out of the gym since last August. Dropped a significant amount of weight due to the fact that I couldnt even hold a 5lb db in my hand without being in pain. Took a solid 9 months off completely to let it heal but now I'm back and more motivated than ever. I refuse to get cortizone shots, they cause more harm than good.

Whats the problem with Cortizone? My mother in law gets them as they provide relief from her Lyme disease. Her knee's get especially inflamed from it.

Rochard 12-14-2015 02:30 PM

I am 5'11" and 201 lbs. My goal is to be under 200 by the end of the year.

Ross 12-14-2015 02:33 PM

6' 1" 199lbs.

Goal weight for the next 6 months is 190lbs with a really slow cut trying to drop about 0.5-1lb a week.

Cortizone has an analgesic effect. If you got a shot, then worked out you wouldn't feel when/if you're causing more damage to the joint. Once the shot wears off you need another one. They also are horrible for connective tissue (joints, ligaments, etc)

That is a long long time, must have been hell for you?

You didn't take anything else up ie running etc ? Just to keep some sort of exercise regime?

It was horrible and very depressing seeing what I worked so hard for start to slowly fade away. I worked legs, machine work mostly, biked, long board, hiked, etc. We were also blessed with an amazing winter last year so I was able to get around 30 solid days of snowboarding in. THAT is what kept me sane :). Basically anything and everything I could that didn't involve weights. Started back with calisthenics, and now back 100%

Have her look into a supplement called Super Cissus...it will definitely help with the inflammation and much better than a cortizone shot which is simply a bandaid that is causing her pain to return 10 fold each time she gets it.

adultchatpay 12-15-2015 12:10 AM

175 lbs but is decreasing...

johnnyloadproductions 12-15-2015 12:13 AM

6'2" 220 nude :)

While I don't really look obese I'm getting thick with a little bit of a tummy. Can still do 10+ pull ups though.

190 is a good look for me. Just so damn hard to keep weight down as I have really bad hip bursitis and it simply will not go away. Swimming laps and light walking.

If I can do as much cardio as I want it's easy to keep the weight off. Now I have to plan what I eat and what I do in the gym.
