Top 5 in terms of what? Volume? Technology? Service? Quality? Very broad question but I assume you mean volume first, everything else second.

We might not be in the top 5 volume wise (yet) but we're in the top 5 for everything else. Reason for the question mainly is to see where adult ad companies are right now. I've been reviewing and researching mainstream ad companies and getting a grip of what they are offering. So I thought I'd see if adult is following suit :)

Ross is right on several points....

I've been in the traffic game about 7 years now and I can honestly tell you that what works for one person won't work for the next. You have to test many networks conservatively and scale when you find promising zones/units.

Etology and newly launched Dating Traffic specialize in premium converting traffic. We are definitely not the largest in volume but we make up for it with quality.

There are many fine traffic networks out there, the smart money goes with the trusted brands and tests newcomers very carefully.

The ad brokers that jump to mind and I've worked with (in no particular order):

I like Adnium's setup quite a bit - it's very, very straight forward while still having all the bells and whistles you'd expect. I can change my bid in less than a second rather than navigating a few pages deep.

Volume and quality wise, trafficjunky is simply king.

As far as technology and innovation, do you think that adult advertising companies are keeping up with their mainstream equivalents?

Keep in mind what I recently learned, exoclick does not respond to DMCA complaints and is one of the preferred methods to monetize illegal websites and piracy.

Juicyads is great though.

From the point of view as advertiser or publisher

There are hard working media buyers but also hard working publishers :)
