there are far better ways to invest your money than 12 percent/year through Lego

It's only worth that money if someone is willing to pay. My ex-girlfriend used to brag how she had a couple Beanie Babies worth $500 or more, but they aren't worth shit now. Maybe she could open them up and eat the beans...if only the bitch knew how to cook. She would burn water. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

It's just money ...

Not surprised at all. Lego has done a fantastic job. I walked into a Lego store recently and was blown away by the cool toys that can be built from simple blocks. The store also had this really cool display for kids where you hold up a lego box, and the screen shows the kid what is inside. Really smart. The Lego movie is supposed to be excellent too. Good for Lego.

You can make even more, faster, by doing what this guy did:

Marketing and brand building a great things. Definitely. But what is it about legos that make them an inflation building investment instead of another TULIPMANIA-like obsession fad like beanie babies.

Lego a 'better investment than shares and gold'

Average Lego set has increased in value 12 per cent each year since the turn of the Millennium, providing a better return than mainstream investments.
