It's funny how you change as you grow older. When I was a kid, the girl in white was my biggest crush ever. I must have seen this video 100 times and I didn't even know what the other girls in the video looked like.

Y&T (originally known as Yesterday & Today) is an American hard rock/heavy metal band formed in 1974. from wiki.. in the 80s everything that wasn't pop was heavy metal.. they were a big hair band..

and put whatever type of songs you want dynmo, I just liked old 80s metal..

This is what we are used to call heavy metal here in Europe in 80s. Also there is a lot of cool metal band in the States, e.g. Slayer, Metallica etc. I have grown on all that music and I've seen them all live. Sorry but that song in your 1st post is some kind of pop music and has no relation to heavy metal at all.

Their biggest song was Summertime Girls. I posted that in someone missing summertime thread last night and that is what got me thinking about 80's metal

I saw Metallica once but it was the Van Halen Monsters of Rock with 5 bands (Van Halen, Scorpions, Dokken, Metallica, and Kingdom Come.)

As about the original post, so I'll try to explain. It's a kind of Def Leppard-like music. It's a hard rock for girls, when guys sing with aspiration and an accompaniment of pop guitar music. Here is an example of an European hard rock band of 80s (that's not a heavy metal!):

This is a very interesting thread! And it reminded me of a blog I saw once.

There's this guy who manages to track down nearly impossible-to-find women from old music videos and interviews them. He even gives account of his extensive detective work in finding them. I don't know of anyone else who has the passion to do this, for the sake of recording history and gaining insight. So thanks to this guy, there's many interesting stories and histories to read about that otherwise no one would ever know.

For example, he tracked down the girls from ZZ Top's "Legs" video and did three blog posts about it.
