Q about watermark plugins for Wordpress
 

Very few of the watermark plugins for wordpress are actually any good and i'm getting a bit fed up with installing plugins that offer the world and then either just don't work or turns out you need to go premium to actually do anything useful.

What i'm looking for is a plugin that adds a sex.com style watermark, that adds a watermark BELOW the image rather than adds it to the actual photo - does one exist?

Not that I know of. They all watermark the image.

Why would you want the watermark below the image? Easy to crop out, easy to defeat.

I'm not bothered by that, most watermarks can be cropped out in one way or another.

I did find a plugin called "Watermark My Image" that was so close to what i wanted but it's been abandoned for a few years and there are loads of reports of problems with it. Shame, so close!

How can you add a watermark below an image to an image??

Dunno but a few sites do it, sex.com and smutty for example.

thats not an overlay but added to the bottom of the original image.

I can write a snippet for CyberSEO which automatically will add watermarks to the imported images. And yes, that's not a problem to extend the image like it's shown above.

Thanks for the reply but that seems like a huge overkill to buy and use CyberSEO just to use a future watermark upgrade.

Yes of course it's not worth to buy the plugin only for such a feature. On the other hand, whose who already bought it may like the new function.

In the meantime how about popping out a standalone free watermark plugin? :thumbsup

I'd love such a feature for cyberseo! But also, adding a watermark on top of the pic should be possible..
