Travelling to Central Florida to volunteer for Bernie
 

Hey folks!

I am planning on travelling to Central Florida/Orlando area to help out with the Get Out To Vote effort for Bernie Sanders. I will hang out for a day or two after if anyone wants to meet up afterwards.

Let me guess the other people will end up picking up your tab?

That would be grand. I contribute the time and the expertise, and Bernie supporters with extra cash and desire to see a bigger win in this area are putting me up. I'll create a GoFundMe so people can pitch in towards the airfare.

Obviously canvassing is a much more efficient and productive than phonebanking, direct mail pieces, social media buys. It's a deal.

When that business is done on Wednesday, I'd entertain a friendly or business-oriented meet up.

Haha, no. I am a winner. We won this area (MN) big time, despite polls and predictions that had Hillary as far ahead as our margin of victory. Or methods can be exported, for folks that are into this Democracy thing America is supposed to be about :)

I guess he can win some votes, just remind him to keep his mouth shut that he hates white people. A little bit sneaky but it may get you more votes. Of course guilters vote him anyway.

If I wanted to have a communist meet up I would get a 1 way ticket to Venezuela.

I live about 50 miles from Orlando and would love to meet up! The only problem is, I'm flat broke. If it cost a nickel to shit, I couldn't afford to fart. Can you pay for my ride there? I prefer Uber over a bus ticket (I get sick on buses). I'll also need food for the weekend, and a place to stay. Nothing personal, but I can't crash where you're staying. I'll need my own room. I prefer the Hilton. We'll have a couple drinks as well, that would be fun. I don't drink much so it won't cost you that much. Cheers!

More seriously, I come from a part of the country where neighbors helped each other raise their barns, maintain county and township roads, pull each other out of the ditch in the snow and ice.

I admire your naive optimism that you can actually have any sort of effect on the outcome of this massive clusterfuck.

Well, "admire" is actually not the correct word, pity is more appropriate and accurate.

I volunteered in the last election, and I while I don't discourage you, its hard to see exactly what kind of a contribution you could make with a "couple" days.

I would think money going towards airfare or putting you up could easily be used somewhere else and have more of an impact.
