Have your Chaturbate hits been lower than normal?

Hello crew.

I noticed that my hits traffic on Chaturbate were significantly dropped on April 18th. Did anyone else have this happen to them? Oddly, I still see Free Registrations signing up in similar ratios as if the hits were closer to 1200... after April 18th, they never hit above 82/day.

I emailed Shirley about it but I didn't get a clear response. Still waiting to hear back from my returned email last week.

(I don't have 30 posts yet, so it doesn't allow me to directly show images. But you'll see the significant drop.)

Thoughts?

I have not looked at the screenshots so have no opinion on the matter at present. I was just making your images show.

Are those stats from a whitelabel or an API or what?

I drive most of my traffic to chaturbate through api sites that I host on servers I control so when I see a drop in traffic I can look at my Google webmaster stats, Google analytics and my web logs and I almost always find my answer there. I also keep track in a database of exactly what I am sending and where I am sending it from and to.

The usual reason for me seeing a drop (or increase) is Google screwing around. I can almost predict it at this point but the drops I see are no where near the drop you have there between the 19th and 17th.

Do you keep your own tracking of what you send at all?

Don't have any real ideas at present other than that something definitely changed, but you already knew that.

Mine is a little bit different, Sarettah. Currently, I send Tumblr traffic directly to Chaturbate (I know, it's not scalable and Tumblr could easily kill my account) but that's how it's setup. Do you think Tumblr ghosted my account? I signed up a new test account and followed one of my affiliate blogs, and all the posts showed up... so I'm actually not sure. As for tracking, I never installed tracking until last week... frankly they were all seedlings anyway and I wasn't concerned since it was early. My main source of growth hacking is via tumblr, getting people to reblog my image with the affiliate link built in... I wonder if that part got messed up? Perhaps there's an issue with AdBlockers shutting down the images...

ALSO... it could be Chaturbate's reporting as well... I wish I could get better feedback.

PS: I'm actually building my own custom API driven site. I think you'll be impresssed @sarettah. I am using Camfoxes as a gold standard. :winkwink:

I appreciate the compliment but I would not do that if I were you. lol. Camfoxes has been and always will be an experiment. It was built to show someone else how to put together an api driven site.

I use it for testing my methodologies predominantly.

I have 8 or 10 other sites that account for most of my chaturbate traffic. I say 8 or 10 because I forget which ones are doing what right now because they all handle multiple sponsors and I turn off and on stuff in there as traffic situations call for.

But do what you want just please don't make direct copies. It is always best to do your own original coding and structures. Google likes that. A lot.

just my :2 cents:

On the tracking. I have found Chaturbate's tracking to be pretty accurate for the most part. There were 2 times that I saw my stats track significantly differently then theirs and both times was when something broke on their end and everybody saw the stats stop counting. Other than those 2 times I have not seen them be more than a couple of hits off from me and that could be accounted for in how they compute a unique as compared to how I compute a unique and the time differences between my server and theirs.

I think that if I were you I would be looking at a change in how Tumbler is treating you. I have never done anything with Tumbler so I have absolutely no idea how you could effectively check but I think that is where I would look.

My traffic increased in the last month so the same happened with my hits on CB , there is nothing wrong with their tracking !

i didn't think you could use affiliate links with tumblr?

best to make a landing page or website

AllAboutCams 05-02-2016 01:13 AM

Mine look down about 1/6 compared to last month

Can it be that it was search engine bots that was creating all the hits? I have that problem (i guess ) A lot of my CB stats are not from humens.

Don't put dubious code in your posts, like using JavaScript to cause redirects or inject unwanted ads in blogs. Don't use deceptive means to generate revenue or traffic, or create blogs with the primary purpose of affiliate marketing. Spam doesn't belong on Tumblr.
