who is Paxum's mastercard bank?

I have waited for a replacement mastercard from Paxum since July last year and I am sick and tired of the excuses and having to pay any further replacement card fees. I have asked that my ticket be elevated to a supervisor level, that doesn't work!

I am calling them out and want to contact the bank that they use for mastercard to inform them of the lies and problems.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

"since July last year" WTF really???!?!

LetterTwenty7 05-04-2016 02:38 PM

Man, that's called waiting! I would also like to know the answer.

I (used to) like Paxum. But it is beyond unreasonable that one needs to reach out to Ruth or Chris -- SALES / Account Reps (not support staff) -- to get any type of reasonable support because their outsourced/foreign ticket staff are so incompetent. Every month it seems there's a new thread about someone needing assistance with Paxum. That should be embarrassing to Paxum.

Luke, give Payoneer a try. You actually get your card in a couple of weeks -- without paying an "expedited fee" -- and don't need to jump through the endless hoops and otherwise ridiculous ticket-tag that Paxum puts you through.

Insofar as their bank goes, I'm fairly sure they both use the same bank... Choice Bank in Belize:
Contact Us - CHOICE BANK LTD.

Well said Rob, hope all is well!!

PimpStar 05-04-2016 11:06 PM

I find paxum convenient to pay other webmasters and agree with Rob also
support is really a headache, I had an issue with them as well
took months before the issue was finally fixed..

I had to wait months for my card to arrive last year or year before - i don't remember exactly when.

First card never arrived (waited 10 weeks I think for that) and in the mean time my card expired, then I paid for faster postage and had to pay for another card.

The second card still took just under a month to arrive using the express option, whihc was an absolute rip off.

I also had to ring the courier company and change the address as whoever had addressed the package had put in the wrong details (even though my 100% CORRECT details are/were in my Paxum account).

Never received any compensation for that either, appalling company to deal with.

georgeyw, that pretty much matches my story, first its in processing for a couple of months (well past the 2 weeks they say), then its in the mail and they won't act on it being lost for a couple of months, etc...

FYI, their mastercard issuing bank can be contacted directly via Contact Us - CHOICE BANK LTD.

Hi Luke, I'd be happy to look into this for you. Please email me your username, or let me know your ticket number.
Thanks :)

So you can order the card directly from the bank? What do you tell them, your name? So that they can find your account?

No, you cannot order a Paxum Payroll card directly from the bank. There is only one way to get a Paxum Payroll card, and that is through Paxum.

Hey Luke! Long time no see hope you are well :thumbsup

You can find the issuing bank for your mastercard from the first 6 digits of your card number, those numbers are called your Issuing Identifier Number (IIN), previously known as (BIN)

Match your IIN to the banks on this list and you'll find your issuing bank.

Or you can enter the first 6 numbers here and it will search a more comprehensive database and return the name of the bank servicing your card.

Unless they change banks all the time you could go by the numbers on your previous card. For Mastercard the first 2 numbers should be in th range of 51-55. Hope this helps :thumbsup (Squirtit!)

thanks all!

Ruth, email sent :)

Is a paxum card worth it? I use payoneer, but would have a Paxum card if it can be a speedy set. Hearing this story above, it doesn't sounds like it is :2 cents:

k0nr4d 05-05-2016 12:37 PM

Payoneer uses wirecard in germany, not choicebank.

robwod 05-05-2016 12:49 PM

Konrad, my Payoneer card says "Choice Bank Limited" right on it. From the Payoneer site itself:

Quote:

The Payoneer Prepaid MasterCard® card is issued by Choice Bank Limited, Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd ("WDCS") WDCS is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to conduct electronic money service activities under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (Ref: 900051)), Payoneer (EU) Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Commission, Gibraltar, or First Covenant Bank (member FDIC), pursuant to a license by MasterCard® International Incorporated
Based on the above, it looks to me like they use both solutions. Perhaps it's geographic.

Never support this guy or the company he works for :2 cents:

Paxum likely has a valid reason to withhold funds.

brassmonkey 05-08-2016 09:39 PM

Two MONTHS. Wow, just wow.

You know, My Payoneer Card was up for renewal. There was a message asking if my information on file was still correct. Click checkbox to verify it. My card was here in about 10 days. I forget the exact number of days, but was just over a week.

True story: Paxum, a Canadian Company, has my Canadian driver's license (with picture), my Canadian business HST tax number, scans of my Cndn VISA Credit Card, utility bills, my provincial healthcare card, and not sure wtf else. You could get a mortgage in my name with what they have on file for me. And then said "nope, can't renew your card. Not enough ID. Give us your passport too." It's so far-fetched and ridiculous that it's humorous. You just can't make this kind of stuff up.

I just said no, and moved on. Payoneer is like a breath of fresh air to deal with compared to Paxum. For that matter, so is Paypal.

marlboroack 07-07-2016 04:52 PM

me lol :pimp

Maqua 07-07-2016 06:49 PM

That's a hell of a lot of personal info Robert, shoot they don't even ask for all of that to get a passport, next thing you know they will want police background check, fingerprints and iris scans and you won't even have a Nexus card at the end,

Man after giving all of that info there should be no question at all as to proving your identity for a new / renewal card,

After reading about this company for a few years now I cannot believe the problems, fees, errors and delays some folks are still having just to get their card / renewal card,

I sure would not want to hear about a data breach with all the personal info stored combined with the problems some folks are having to get a card or issues resolved a breach would be a complete disaster, and there would be a lot of pissed of folks,

Just my thoughts, I feel and I imagine others do too that there is something wrong when some folks cannot do their business transactions due to error messages and other issues, also the process of getting a new / renewal card seems to be flawed, waiting a year in some cases or even a few months I feel is too long,

To the folks who have had no issues and happy with the service, that's good news, they need to take care and help the other folks who are not so lucky with the process,

I realize the rep pops up when a issue is brought to the boards but I think if its on the boards its gone too long!!
