I am now available for adult-industry writing piecework

This is to let everyone in adult know that I am available to do writing piecework or copywriting on just about any topic in our industry. I'm not hungry enough to compete with overseas talent writing two-dollar blog posts, though; in fact I'm looking for jobs that pay about five cents a word, or about $25 for the typical 500-word piece that I've been perfecting in my many years as a porn and sex blogger. When I'm not dumbing it down for effect, my writing is educated and professional. After a dozen years as an adult blogger, I can write smoothly about any sort of porn or adult entertainment topic, as well as sex-positive culture, adult business, the adult web, and adult social media.

I can do porn copyrighting (in bundles, since it's usually so short), B2B marketing copy, blog posts of any length, longer web columns, full-length magazine articles, or whatever else you need. My most-honed specialty after writing a thousand blog posts a year for so long is short pieces in the 400-500 word range. I don't write fiction as such, but I hesitate to specify "non-fiction only" because I can and I do write marketing copy. :winkwink:

Reading in some of the threads I've started here at GFY will give you plenty of evidence that I can write competently and professionally (although you will also catch me slanging it up and being an asshole as the local customs require.) If you think you might have a job for me, send me an email (theforkbeard at softhome dot net) and I'll shoot you my porn blog URLs, which will give you a better picture of what I can do when writing about porn and sex and adult entertainment culture.

Fair warning: I'm a "show me the money" kind of guy; if you can't pay me up front, or at least half up front and half on completion, we won't get along. If I don't know you, I won't extend a lot of work on credit or play complex invoicing games with uncertain payment dates. If wrangling to get paid or waiting to get paid is a significant part of the experience of doing work for you, I am definitely not your guy.

Hey, best of luck on the freelance trail, Forkbeard--you're a fine writer and your blogs are well-done, entertaining, and informative.

My fellow GFYers--definitely check out this man if you need some quality prose. His skill is evident just from the original post in this thread. :thumbsup

Thanks, Irv! I didn't see this at first, but I really appreciate the kind words.

Hey, guys, I thought I should provide an update to this thread. This part of my service offering has actually taken off fairly well in the last six months or so, but you should be aware that my rates have also gone up. Depending on article length and the amount of research needed, I'm now typically getting between fifteen and twenty-five cents a word for this work. Drop me a line if you need quality adult-industry writing done.

(But be aware that I'm dropping offline for pretty much the entire month of April, so act soon if you need anything done before summer!)

I thought I would update this thread to remind people I'm still available for this kind of work. I did one big job for at twenty-five cents a word writing fifty word descriptions and tag sets for a very large collection of flash web games that (before I came along) didn't have anything except names for the search engines to chew on. That was fun and intricate (because I had to play the games at least a bit in order to describe them) and I couldn't have done it for less, but we were both happy at the end of the job.
