Attention LakeViewEnt affiliates - Epoch sales not credited

Steve confirmed that the Epoch sales are not tracked for affiliates with the CCBILL link codes, and that it won't change anytime soon.

Epoch is the main biller now even. So basically you won't get paid for most of the sales that you generate.

Pulling links myself.

I lost all my rebills for a program a few months back, it was a technical error, fortunately I spotted it and they realized I was right, huge relief, only annoying thing is that I'm still waiting for the missed payments to be rectified, taking a lot longer than I would have expected

This business was a lot more fun when programs cared more about affiliate traffic and loading up a program with leaks was actually something they didn't want to be caught doing.

It wasn't always like it is now. Sure there have always been programs that have committed fraud on affiliates, but not like today. :2 cents:

jscott 06-10-2016 01:29 PM

Jeezus H! Posting on legweb
...obviously they never let affiliates know, at least I never rec'd anything

another fucked up move :(

Qbert 06-10-2016 07:13 PM

These guys have been clueless about running an affiliate program from day one, and they appear to be slow learners.

It used to be that when programs got caught doing shady shit to affiliates and got called out about it, they'd move heaven and earth to pretend it was all a mistake, a misconfigured router, a rogue employee, a badly-trained intern, whatever. They'd make a big show of promising that the numbers would be audited and accounts credited for lost sales.

When was the last time you saw an affiliate program admit fault on GFY and make a show of adjusting affiliate payouts to rectify the "error"? It's been a few years. These days, they don't care. Catch them leaking your traffic or changing your cookie storage from 30 days to 30 minutes and they are all just like:

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cascading Epoch/CCBill is for denied transactions only...

2 options to use multiple billers:

-separate tours which lead to the correct biller-forms
-a solution like nats/sliiing/etc...

Those are suggestions, right?

Cause right now, they're not setup like that. Epoch is straight up the first choice on their join page that you get with a CCBILL link, and there is no NATS or Sliiing.

(And you'd still need to credit affiliates if you only used Epoch for CCBill denied transactions.)

Suggestions like how it should be? Yes...
