Weirdest Food You Ate?
Out here, I was fixated for weeks on a particular desert at a local branch of a multi-branch desert type cafe which was basically a coconut containing some thickened sweet milk. Being a diabetic I asked if it had any sugar and the girl at the counter told me there was none but that it contained "burness".
I had no clue what "burness" is but I tried it and found it so tasty that I ate it again at least 10 more times over the next 6 months, until finally I discovered that "burness" was just a poor pronunciation of "Birds Nest" (which is a popular delicacy in chinese communities)!!! So whats the weirdest stuff you've eaten and liked or disliked? BBC - Travel - Weird foods only a local could love |

My Korean GF took me for a surprise treat while in South K. She told me to close my eyes, When I opened them all I saw were moving tentacles on my plate.
