Sir John Chilcot Iraq Inquiry Blair's response.
It was 2 hours long. He smugly concluded that while the reports established he made lots of mistakes, he didn't lie to the country. Because no one could find proof of that lie.
What is clear is the arrogance of the man. As if the West has a right to get involved in wars in other countries and that the West has solutions to problems that go back 1,000s of years. Even pre-Mohammed. the tribal splits were there when Mohammed was waging war spreading Islam. The West needs to learn that it can't solve a war in places where war is fundamental to the culture. In that one tribe thinks it has the right to rule another tribe. If only they had realised that when they created Israel and started their hate for the West. |
Problem with the political elite are they're disconnected from the people. Blair had every chance to listen to the people when over one million UK citizens marched against the Iraq War in London. He was stubborn and he ignored it.
Over the last 20 years, people have been complaining about immigration in the UK. Both main political parties ignored them. The result? Brexit. |
"In that one tribe thinks it has the right to rule another tribe."
When has it not been that way with humans? I'm a firm believer of immigration from the middle east of women and young children only. The men are culturally the problem both in their country, and when they immigrate. Sad but true :2 cents: |
