Who's watching the Olympics?

It's pretty addicting! Anybody else?

Spunky 08-07-2016 11:03 PM

Go Canada Go!

Look Chang 08-08-2016 02:19 AM

Cannot see anything, it's time to sleep here when something happens in Rio :sleep

LetterTwenty7 08-08-2016 02:26 AM

It's interesting to me why it is interesting to me to watch the high jump competition, for instance, during the Olympics. AND I would never watch it during the World Series of High Jump (probably doesn't exist), but you get the point. I like the Olympic Games because it celebrates sportsmanship, never giving up, trying hard...

j3rkules 08-08-2016 03:12 AM

I am not watching it all. Not interested in it.

CurrentlySober 08-08-2016 03:29 AM

I was thinking the same. Olympic sports are better together than they are on their own.

There's a European mini-Olympics, inaugural event was last year

Baku 2015 European Games

Scott McD 08-08-2016 04:29 AM

Not watched any of it so far...

CaptainHowdy 08-08-2016 05:39 AM

Bring back the original (nude) spirit of the Olympics and I will watch ...

HowlingWulf 08-08-2016 07:56 AM

I'm watching Boxing Day 3 right now on 2nd monitor.

SilentKnight 08-08-2016 08:07 AM

Nope, can't get into it.

2MuchMark 08-08-2016 08:11 AM

Nope. Not interested in the least.

However, I did just finally watch Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (David Fincher version) yesterday.

Me like.

NatalieK 08-08-2016 08:31 AM

who won the boxing between Cuba & GB please?

I was sat in the bar watching it on big screen about an hour ago, but needed to come home to work...

Rochard 08-08-2016 09:04 AM

Just not feeling it. At all. I tried. I was watching this weekend, briefly, and discovered I had zero interest in it. None at all. I've just never liked the summer Olympics.

On top of this, they have all kinds of silly sports. Water Polo is not something that belongs in the Olympics. What's next? Are they going to play Marco Polo?

bronco67 08-08-2016 09:21 AM

Negative zero fucks given. I just can't be bothered this time for some reason.

Totally. That women's sevens rugby is off the charts.

C H R I S 08-08-2016 10:16 AM

The olympics is on?

lagwagon 08-08-2016 10:40 AM

Gold Zone on the cnbc app is pretty sweet, they do a lot of quad screen viewing.

Yesterday I caught some of the synchronized diving.... I had no idea there was such a thing.

I also watched Rugby for the first time... Confusing and amazing at the same time.

Mutt 08-08-2016 01:16 PM

The swimming races are very exciting - Katie Ledecky of the USA won by so much it's hard to fathom how one person can be that much faster than the top swimmers from all over the world.

My favorite so far is the 16 year old Canadian swimmer Penny Oleksiak winning bronze and a silver.

Rugby's less confusing than football (not that football is confusing). I played both in college and highschool. Liked rugby better - less gear and equipment to wear.

yuu.design 08-10-2016 03:14 AM

mmm, is not my kind of event

ContentPimp 08-10-2016 06:30 AM

I watched 100m freestyle swimming

ianmoone332000 08-10-2016 06:42 AM

I was watching Germany vs Netherlands women volleyball late last night UK time. Dutch girls had nice asses but that's literally all iv seen. Gonna try catch the rest of Andy Murray's games though

Jim_Gunn 08-10-2016 04:53 PM

Generally I wouldn't be interested in it as there are far too many sports I don't care about and even some some downright silly games that arguably don't even belong in the Olympics. But I saw some highlights of throws and vicious armbars yesterday and ended up watching some of the live judo medal matches today, for both men & women, and it was oddly fascinating.

scarlettcontent 08-11-2016 02:03 AM

me .
