This showed up in my feed this morning.
I would guess there is a lot of reasons for this. Cars are getting better and better gas mileage so they visit gas stations less - less of a need for them and less of a need for people stopping at gas stations (which means less drinks / snacks / etc sold). Less of a need for gas means less profit for gas stations. Fuel efficient cars combined with more and more electric cars makes gas stations less of a good investment.... We'll see a lot less gas stations in the future. |
