Best $200 fully managed host?

Ran out of space on my main box, and bought a site that uses a bunch of HD space. Trying to see what the best I can do for $200.. Found these 2 offers

Vacares - Dedicated Servers Built for Your Needs

$175

FREE SETUP
i3 3.4Ghz CPU
8 GB Memory
1 TB HDD
100 Mbps Bandwidth

and https://www.m3server.com/dedicated-s...usiness-class/

Business R410 $200
Quadcore
16gb ram
1tb space
30mbps

But I'm told vacares is not fully managed or m3? What do you guys think is a good deal these days

cybermike 10-06-2016 12:57 PM

Ps. Need to have backups included

ironwebmaster 10-06-2016 01:00 PM

I use M3 and its fully managed. They also have backups + free cdn for 12 months. Please do use my sig link, do a stranger a favor :)

Sly 10-06-2016 01:09 PM

Also, Vacares is fully managed and daily backups included. :-)

I was going to mention VACares - I see you have them covered though - They are great guys...

trevesty 10-06-2016 01:57 PM

That m3 offer is way better than the other hardware wise.

100Mpbs v 30 and the hardware with VACares can more than handle pushing out content at that rate - It's a no brainer...

Actually we no longer offer that server as I don't feel the single drive is good enough. We have another much better package for $200, not updated on the site yet. Feel free to ICQ me for details.

I don't think Mike will use that much bandwidth.. not everyone needs 100mbps, but either way, that's why I specifically said hardware, which the m3 offer is a lot better... still. :winkwink:

The i3 can't keep up with the Quad Core @ m3 for encoding videos. The RAM... etc etc. No brainer indeed. :)

Btw Sly, not dogging on you or your company, just answering the question based on the data given. I've heard nothing but good about your services. :)

Mojohost is a top notch host company. You can not go wrong with them.

:winkwink:

If you have paysites on the server, 30mbps is not enough at all. Maybe 100mbps either.

People have 100mbps connections at home, and they expect to download at that speed. Now imagine if 20 users are downloading at the same time. It will be painfully slow!

Another thumbs up for Vacares - just moved two servers and will save $400/mo.

Hosting companies in this industry got away with overcharging for years simply because their customers could afford paying a premium. Those days are long over.
