?someone is learning how to take down the Internet.?
What are your thoughts on this???
DDoS attacks are nothing new. But Schneier has pointed out that they could soon become increasingly problematic. ?Recently, some of the major companies that provide the basic infrastructure that makes the Internet work have seen an increase in DDoS attacks against them,? he explained in a blog post. ?These attacks are significantly larger than the ones they're used to seeing. They last longer. They're more sophisticated.? https://www.technologyreview.com/s/6..._m edium=post |

I think this is positively frightening. The very thought that one person, group, or country can take down part of the Internet scares the crap out of me.
One of the things I've never really understand is why we allow everything / anything to connect to the Internet. We have so many devices that access the Internet in our house that I've lost track. I have no idea how to change the password on most of the devices - Do you know how to change the password on your DVR? Have you? |
Interesting and terrifying at the same time. Could it be Anonymous?
