Greg Lake of Emerson Lake and Palmer died Dec 7
 

One of my favorite bands of the 70s and later has lost another member Greg Lake who died yesterday of cancer. This shortly after in March of this year when Keith Emerson passed away by suicide from depression caused by degenerative nerve issue not being able to play keyboards again.

I saw them in concert many times and will always remember the music and joy it brought me listening to their music and legacy.

Athat is sad! he had such a smooth, silky voice and was quite amazing.
Bad year for Carl palmer too, losing both his bandmates. :(

Didn't know Emerson commited suicide. ELP was before my time but I dug them.

I'm surprised Jimmy Page and Keith Richards are still alive. They're both 72. Although I'm not totally sure Keith is alive.

Rip sad indeed.

I gather that it was the illness he had that made his hands (right) unable to play keyboard again and at best with only 8 fingers. Since his passion was always music and playing rather than teach or write music he simply couldn't stand not being able to do what he loved and became depressed.

Truly is sad since he had so much more to offer.

That bastard Carl Palmer refuses to die ...
