The reason that people who shave their pubes are more likely to get something is because...they fuck a lot more. Not saying that their aren't a lot of people out there who fuck like rabbits and have big hairy bushes...
But people who shave their pubes are all a little kinky. Whereas the more "Jesus"-types who only believe in sex for procreation NEVER shave down there.

So that percentage of the population (along with Muslims, etc. who think that sex is sinful and also never shave) probably skew the numbers.

Basically, shaved pube people fuck more in general...so they catch more shit.

there's evidence to support what both of you are saying, one study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine in 2014 found that those who were more sexually active were more likely to remove the bush

so yeah, correlation does not equal causation

according to that study peeps who remove are more likely to get rashes from improper grooming, but that's totally different than STIs, and is easy to avoid if you know what you're doing
