I used to work for them long ago and I wouldn't personally buy it, tbh..

Not only are they charging me too much but they didn't even come up with a dvr. They bring some big huge box and it manages to pause a program. For awhile. A few minutes. I apparently got some premium film channels, at least for awhile.
Nearly $200/mo out in the middle of nowhere they're charging me and that's actually some money when you look at that relative to the rents and property values.
And there's no DVR or anything?
I'm not fancy, you know, I'd have settled for an old fashioned two tuner dvr like we had back in the SIXTIES for fuck sakes.

But I'm sure they'd say oh no problem for $8 or $14 per month more you can get a single tuner dvr which works most of the time or for $43 per month you can have a three tuner dvr
But I know them
The three tuner dvr would freeze up and delete any programs I had recorded always and they'd exchange it every Tuesday when I went in to "exchange my fucking dvr yet again" once again

Everyone must know about their record with under powered poorly coded bad software questionable hardware garbage tv boxes by now these days I'd imagine
This concorde box at least walks and steps ahead of some of what I've seen. After all of these years they finally managed that 4% improvement everyone had been waiting for

The box almost has enough processing power to properly do anything, too, nearly. That was a nice surprise as well.
It sits there getting hot at all times always, too, any time plugged in. That's a nice feature to let me know that cox are or is ALWAYS WORKING

Meanwhile they're known for ages and years for being nazi billers in every way. We promised or offered you in writing anything? Oh sorry too fucking bad because fuck you

You thought that our rates on the website or on the advertisements or even on your bill were the actual price? Are you serious?

You went by expecting anything sold to you via telephone by anyone who works for our company to be billed at a rate similar to the actual numbers the employee assured you would be real ???
* then they mute you to laugh *

Meanwhile I'm glad that I'm paying the 500th additional MONTHLY FEE to NOT be locked into some God forsaken contract of hell
The best aspect of that is, paying $10 monthly for that little piece of health insurance may only cost me about half of what ever it would have cost to escape them otherwise

Meanwhile I do have to say one positive thing. The tech was right when be managed to talk me into the fucking ubee router they brought out. I was over here all.... FFS what is a ubee
He turned out to be right on that one

One other thing is that the internet ain't bad for the money
So at least you get SOMETHING for your money

But wait.. there's more!
My last bill says hey good news to better service you and serve you in a holes check out some of our new RATE INCREASES at some url somewhere
Then to make it eveN better I find out they're also going to not only CAP AND ENFORCE band width usage ...
But dig this they're going to AUTOMATICALLY RESERVE MORE AND CHARGE YOU FOR IT
So basically your cable bill can be just like a cellular telephone from the twenties!!! YaY
Your kid talked for three hours to the neighbor girl? That's long distance bitch that'll be $78 when you get YOUR bill this month
Maybe even as high as $91 if it was peak time calling

Don't get me wrong because Comcast will ALWAYS be the WORST
But this is just about 92% as Comcast as Comcast is at this point
