The sad part is you are right. I try not to be an inflammatory trump voter as we won, no need to harp, but there are so many talking points as to how this happened. Sure there is a lot I don't like. Teachers have only had one answer since i've been alive ... ."we just need more money because..." and since i've been alive, there has only been one solution ... "give them more money". Today, we spend something like $11,500 per student per year for public education. I went to an elite boarding school full of rich kids for $12,500 a year.

That is what always put in into perspective for me.

Kids graduate public schools in the US full of illiterate gangbangers that are for $11,500 a year cost to tax payers. Thats unions. The USA has never stood out in the world for education. Obviously money hasn't helped anymore than spending 20+ trillion dollars has helped to wipe out poverty.

There is one issue when comparing private schools to public schools. There is no doubt a kid can get a better education going, as you put it, to an elite private school for $12,500 per year as opposed to the $11,500 for public schools. Here's the issue with comparing the two. Private schools get to pick and choose who they want to let in. In many cases, they have rigorous application processes. They can cherry pick the best students who have the most involved parents. Public schools don't get that luxury. They have to take all students. This includes kids with learning problems and behavior problems. It includes kids who came from shitty schools before and are badly behind and kids who come from families where the parents don't give a shit.

Throwing money at the problem isn't going to help. We need to understand the different needs of the masses and figure out a way to provide those needs so everyone can get the best education possible without holding those who might excel back because those who are slower are in the same classes.

Well Todd you pose a good question but I have a good answer. I put my country first. At least the america I know and love. This was bigger than "my livelyhood" to me. That being said, as I have said prior, I am not for everything being done. Sure, I'm pro wall and I'm a nationalist. I'm not afraid to admit that. To be clear though, a nationist means to me that I don't want any more strap hangers in this country. Nationalism does not mean to me that I'd be upset with a black neighbor or that I am upset with black people etc. I have often said something needs to be done about bridging the racial divide. Truly I think to your comment "why black people are so upset' there is a pretty easy answer, they don't have equality yet and they should. Full stop. It has improved greatly but they aren't there yet. Tough to debate that really. I also disagree that anyone will fight for porn. The left ignored it and no matter what Hillary said porn is less threatened under the Dems than the GOP. I have been around long enough to know that and I think you know that too. More religion equals a greater threat to porn. The right is the party of religion in this country. Not really debatable. Trump doesn't care, but a guy like Pence does. Trump will trade a couple signatures in a heartbeat and the Dems will trade signatures as well. The best porn can hope for is to be ignored, it will never be publicly supported in mass or by anyone of significance.

US Government spending is running at $15,000 per person. Therefore a person has to contribute $15,000 in taxes to break even. A single guy earning $20k clears that line. A man with a wife and two children has to earn $80,000.
