Dow falls 100 points after US drops mega-bomb

Stocks fell on Thursday after the U.S. dropped "the mother of all bombs" in Afghanistan while bank stocks dropped despite strong earnings from JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup.

The U.S. used GBU-43 bomb on a cave complex believed to have ISIS fighters, according to the Associated Press. The bomb had ever been used in combat, according to Adam Stump, the Pentagon spokesman.

interesting that this would change the dow? I understood when the shares went up for the Tomahawk company, but why would this effect the low dow?

So if Trump dropped a 44,000 pound bomb, the Dow would since 200?

The modern stock market is influenced by irrelevant news events. Company profits don't matter that much anymore.

A legit market would be based largely on shareholder dividend amounts.

When the stock market went up after Trump was elected you said it was because of Trump.

Now the stock market is influenced by "irrelevant news". Imagine that.

You must not follow the market. A 100 point drop is nothing.
