?This is a recipe for hideous disaster? - John Pilger on Western arms deals with Saudi Arabia
|
The deal makes me a little uneasy, but those in the region need to clean up after their own kind and Saudi Arabia is best suited to do it.
Trump doesn't want US military involvement. Democrats are now the party of war. |
Typical middle-class liberal view. What was the US's involvement in the ME before 9/11? Which followed other terrorist attacks on US embassies and military outposts.
Muslims were trying to get the West into a war with them so they could hide their genocide of fellow Muslims behind a wall of media propaganda saying it's all the West's fault. The only reason Saudi is buying the arms is to kill fellow Muslims who want to kill them. The Manchester bomber was the son of two more Muslim terrorists who were given shelter in the UK. Maybe it would have been better to ignore his parents' plight and allowed Gadhaffi to deal with them. |

IMHO it was good deal, even great deal

The Reagan administration provided weapons to both Iraq and Iran while they were at war -- how did that turn out?

The map of Muslim terrorism all over the world https://themuslimissue.files.wordpre...-22-58-48.jpeg America did get involved in the Balkans, to stop the genocide. The attacks on the West started well before the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq. The Al Queda attacks started after the CIA helped arm Jihadists kick the Russians out of Afghanistan and yes that was clearly a mistake. Islam has been at war since Mohammed, hewas a leader of an Army. It has been at war with itself since his death. something to educate you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_...arly_instances https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_Muslim_conquests 1,400 Years of Christian/Islamic Struggle: An Analysis | CBN.com Lot's more here. https://www.google.de/search?q=islam...&bih=638&dpr=1 Educate you to prevent yourself looking stupid. Islam is a religion dedicated to separation even within itself, Shia followers don't mix with Sunni followers. This is the route of the Saudi/Yemen conflict. We had parallels in the West 500 years ago when Catholics were at war with Protestants trying to wipe them out. To expect people who don't mix on their own lands to mix with us in the West when their religion orders them not to. Is absurd. Serbians tried to slaughter as many Bosnians for the same reasons. They couldn't even come together when faced with a common enemy in WW2. The only reason they lost was the US intervention, the only thing stopping them having the same overseas influence as the US is it can't afford to. |

The problem was Bush deciding to attack after 9/11. |
@ paul
you can not compare ISIS terrorism to the terrorism of its founders USIS...also when you mention "islamic terror" lets list the top 3: mujahideen (sp?) alquaeda ISIS google "did the USA support and arm (insert one of top 3 here)" islamic terrorism = US foreign policy fuck up... you are playing dumb to the fact that the USA is the common denominator for all conflicts in the world and all terrorism...your best arguments are basically "christians were killing each other since the beginning of time but I will pretend only muslims did it"... you are playing dumb to the direct interests of the industrial/war complex of the USA and pretending my map is just "peacekeeping" :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh your comments about yugoslavia are too funny...the serb minority wanted to wipe out the croat majority and the muslim majority? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh sounds legit :2 cents::thumbsup does not sound like saddams invisible WMD at all :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |

I"m glad to see that people are paying attention. The Obama administration sold the Saudi's $100 Billion worth of arms, which they have been using to slaughter women and children in Yemen, and no body said anything at all.
Nice to see someone finally waking up after 8 years of snoring.... Better late than never . |
This has nothing to do with who is the sitting president. We keep arming our 'temporary friends', then at a future point in time, they end up shooting at us with the same arms. Pointless in the end -- protecting the oil right that extorts then trying to get that money back.
|
The Russians want Saudi Arabia to buy arms from them instead of America. They just got the Philippines president Duterte to switch from buying arms from America to buying from Russia.
Not surprising Wehateporn sees the American arms deal with the Saudi's as bad, he mainly posts Russian propoganda & anti American culture conspiracy theories. |

You do realize that if ISIS overruns Iranian fighters in Syria your ''superior'' weapons could end up shooting at Russian soldiers in Chechnya or Dagestan ...

Where did you see me saying that Trump or Reagan were innocent? I am GLAD that people are finally noticing. When Democrats do war-like, horrific acts, no one takes any notice. As a Libertarian, the only reason that I like it when Republicans are in office is that the Mainstream media and left wing commentators actually NOTICE the terrible things going on. When a Democrat kills women and children in large numbers, you don't hear a peep from anyone. I would like to suggest that you work on reading posts more closely, and paying attention to what is actually posted, not what you are trying to see.... . |

The deal is a recipe for hideous disaster, but truth be told Saudi Arabia has lots of money so they would get their weapons from someone..
If it's not us, it would be France, Russia, China or someone.. I don't like the deal, but it was gonna happen with someone, one way or another now that SA has decided to step up their military game. |
