Can anyone recomend DVD projector?

I was supposed to be getting one from an old theatre but the guy selling it to me took my deposit and disappeared. I'm hoping to find one for $2k or less and used is acceptable.

So if anyone can recommend a brand or model I would be very thankful

Why not any projector with hdmi inputs?

I've got an Elite Screens 230" Curved I may be willing to part with if you need a real theater feel. :) Also have a high-end projector for it but don't remember what the hell it is.

To be honest I know absolutely jack shit about DVD projectors. So I'm just researching them now and what I need is something that will work for a small theater of 75 seats.

Most new ones these days you can pretty much hook anything to them and play whatever. Just make sure it's 16.9 and you want something with high lumens. The one I have is around 5000 lumens.A reasonably priced mid range projector is BenQ

Just a quick search.. You can probably find one new for close to the same price shopping around BenQ MH741 3D 1080P Home Theater Bar Church School Full HD Projector 4000 Lumens | eBay

I use to love my projectors since 2005 but around 2011 I decided I was tired of buying new $350 bulbs every 6 mos. I used mine 24/7 to watch tv in the living room on a 120" screen.

But ya just go to Amazon and look for projectors with the $1,000-$2,000 range and read the specs and reviews and you can get a killer one today.

It's an Panasonic but not sure of the model. It looks similar to the one below but based on pic mine seems to have a bigger lens, it's solid black and it's wxga Panasonic PT-D5600U DLP Large Venue Projector 5000 lumen XGA 1404 HOURS RUNTIME

I bought it off an ITT tech auction to test on my screen. Once I get around to actually finishing the room for it Ill go LCD.

A friend of mine has BenQ Sw something... I don't remember the exact name but I know he paid around 1500 $ for it. It has a WXGA resolution and high rated brightness, 5000 lumen ... If I'm not wrong.
He uses it a medium size room and I bet you can easily find it on Google.

i liked the ultra short throw ones, you can install it near wall and quality was great too., but in terms of lumens not so great.

i did shortlist
LG Minibeam Pro PF1000U 1000
and one chinese ultra short throw projector., i guess, i have made thread about it.
